Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) Installation Observations
2780 Cattle Creek Road
Garfield County, Colorado
SEPT-4-16-4144
Nancy,
ALL SERVICE septic, LLC observed the installation of the onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS)
on May 11, 2016 for the subject property. Walters Company installed the system.
The existing septic tank serving the main residence was properly abandoned in place by collapsing the
top and sides of the septic tank and filling the remaining void with gravel, sand, or compacted soil.
A 1500-gallon, two-compartment septic tank was installed to serve the main residence. An additional
1000-gallon, two-compartment septic tank was installed to serve the studio/hobby room above the barn.
Effluent filters were installed on the outlet tee of each septic tank. These filters must be cleaned
annually, or as needed. Effluent gravity flows from each tank to a distribution box, which is accessible
from grade.
A Bull Run Valve was installed, but was not connected to the existing soil treatment area (STA).
The new STA consists of two rows of 19 ‘Quick 4’ Infiltrator® chambers, one row of 9 ‘Quick 4’ Infiltrator®
chambers, and one row of 8 ‘Quick 4’ Infiltrator® chambers. The two shorter rows are served by the
same outlet from the distribution box and connected with a level manifold.
Inspection ports were installed at both the beginning and end of each trench. There were 6-feet of
undisturbed soil between each trench.
The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of
workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are
made to the OW TS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county
regulations.
LIMITS:
Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must
have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in
which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil
type, and weather conditions.
Please call with questions.
Sincerely,
