Subject: Compliance of Construction and Mnterials, FedEx Ground Sort Facility,
County Road 154 near State Highway 82, Garfield County, Colorado
Dear Mr. Fa:
Hepworth-Pawlak Geotechnical, Inc. provided construction observation and materia1s
testing services for earthwork, foundation soil bearing conditions, micro pile installation,
. reinforcing steel, concrete, epoxy-embedded items, structural steel welding and bolting,
aggregate base course and aspha1t paving during construction of the referenced FedEx
Ground Sort Facility. Our field inspection and testing services for the project began on
September 9, 2015 and continued on an as-requested basis through to completion of our
scope of services on June l, 2016.
Our services were performed under the direction of the undersigned licensed Engineer
registered in the State of Colorado. Nonconforming conditions, materia1s and/or
workmanship identified by our observation and testing were immediately brought to the
attention of the contractor for correction or acceptance of the variation. Our testing and
observation reports have been distributed under separate cover.
Based on inferences drawn from our observations during construction and the results of
our testing as documented by the referenced field and laboratory reports, it is our
professional opinion that the referenced earthwork, foundation soil bearing conditions.

applicable. Please recognize that construction observation and testing services are
sampling functions that involve direct observation and testing of very limited amount of
the overall work lo evaluate the construction compliance.
