Rd. 342 Dear Commissioners; You approved an exemption last spring for the Porters. Then in September you approved a sixty (60) day extension of that exemption. Economic conditions still prevent the expenditures necessary to complete the conditions of the exemption approval. Surveys up West Divide Creek tend to get costly. Because of cost, Porters have hoped that they would have had the opportunity to put some property under contract to sell before incurring the cost of a survey and other conditions of the exemption. Acting as their agent, I can state that real estate activity in the West Divide Creek area is almost nonexistent. With the farm and ranch business also being poor, it is impossible to incur the cost of the exemption conditions at this time. However the Porters want to keep the exemption and/continue to accept the conditions thereof. The Porters would like to have the exemption extended through the winter months, with enough time to possibly sell the property this coming spring, or find another way to finance the cost of the conditions.
