BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
GARFIELD COUNTY, COLORADO
PETITION FOR EXEMPTION
Pursuant to C.R.S (1973) Section 30-28-101 (10)(a) - (d) as
amended, and the Subdivisions Regulations of Garfield County, Colorado,
adopted January 2, 1979, Section 2.02.01 (d) and 3.02.01 the undersigned
Marcus 0. Nordberg and Marcia Joynt Nordberg respectfully petition the
Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, Colorado, to exempt by
resolution the division of a .54 acre tract of land into two (2) tracts
containing approximately .0092 acres and .5308 acres more or less, from
the definitions of "subdivision" and "subdivided land" as the terms ar
used and defined in C.R.S. (1973) Section 30-28-101 (10)(a) - (d) and
the Garfield County Subdivision Regulations, for the reasons stated
below:
1. Walter E. Bartels and Harriet L. Bartels own that real property
which adjoins the southerly boundary of the above described tract of
land and wish to obtain approximately Four Hundred (400) square feet of
said tract of land on which their driveway and a portion of their garage
is currently situate.
2. The exemption herein requested is for the purpose of adjusting
the boundary line between the Petitioners said tract and Bartels'
property by movement of the boundary line northerly a distance of three
(3) feet.
3. No new parcels will be created by virtue of the granting of
this Petition for Exemption.

4. In support of this petition, the petitioners also submit the
following:
a. Map drawn to scale showing the proposed lot subdivision and
access.
b. A copy of the Deed by which petitioners acquired title to the
subject tract.
c. Assessors map/vicinity map.
d. Filing fee in the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00).
5. The practical description of the property is as follows:
1-3/4 miles west of Glenwood Springs on County Road 135
