The purpose of our site visit was to observe the soils exposed at footing elevations. CTL 1 Thompson, Inc. performed a soils and foundation investigation for the subject residences (CTL 1 Thompson, inc. Project No. GS05221-120, dated July 25, 2008). The soils exposed at the bottom of the foundation excavation consist of natural silty to clayey sand and gravel granular structural fill con- structed with imported CDOT Class 6 aggregate base course. CTL tested the placement of structural fill. These soils are similar to the soils encountered dur- ing our soils and foundation investigation.
