Dear Mr. Reed: At your request we have performed a floodplain study along Main Elk Creek adjacent to your property. Using a 100 -year flood flow of 7000 CFS as established by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and taking field cross sections as shown on the attached map we have determined the flood plain to be as follows: Section A: Section B: 5.5 feet above the channel bottom 6.5 feet above the channel bottom The apparent buildable area east of the Creek is from 17' to 25' above the main channel and is therefore well above the 100 -year floodplain.
