PETITION FOR EXEMPTION
Pursuant to C.R.S. (1973) Section 30-28-101 (10) (a) -(d) as amended, and
the Subdivision Regulations of Garfield County, Colorado, adopted September 1,
1972 and amended April 14, 1975, Section 1.02.17 (d) and 3.02.01 the under-
signed_r.,.
respectfully petitions the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County,
Colorado, to exempt by resolution the division of /,7e9 acre tract of
land into 3 tracts of approximately /(op,p/ 5,50J E's,60 acres each,
more or less, and which tract to be subdivided is more particularly described as
follows:

from the definitions of "subdivision" and "subdivision land" as the terms are used
and defined in C.R.S. (1973) Section 30-28-101 (a) - (d) and the Garfield County
Subdivision Regulations, for the reasons stated below:
In support of this petition the petitioner also submits the following:
(a) Map drawn to scale showing proposed
lot subdivision and access.
(b) Vicinity Map.
(c) Statement on source of domestic water.
(d) Statement on method of sewaae disposal.
(e) 100 year floodplain information where
live stream crosses or adjoins said tract.

Re: Floodplain Study - Darrel Reed Property, H.E.S. No. 38,
Township 4 South, Range 91 West and Lot 4, Section 1,
Township 5 South, Range 91 West.
Dear Mr. Reed:
At your request we have performed a floodplain study
along Main Elk Creek adjacent to your property. Using a
100 -year flood flow of 7000 CFS as established by the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers and taking field cross sections
as shown on the attached map we have determined the flood
plain to be as follows:
Section A:
Section B:
5.5 feet above the channel bottom
6.5 feet above the channel bottom
The apparent buildable area east of the Creek is from 17'
to 25' above the main channel and is therefore well above
the 100 -year floodplain.
