TAKE NOTICE that Williams Production RMT
Company has applied to the Planning Commis-
sion and Board of County Commissioners, Garfield
County, State of Colorado, to request a
recommendation of approval and a decision of
approval for two Special Use Permits to allow for
Extraction and Processing of Natural Resources
Well Pad GV 82-5 and Well Pad PA41-9, both of
which are located within the Battlement Mesa PUD
on a property situated in the County of Garfield,
State of Colorado; to -wit:
Legal Description: Parcel # 2407-081-00-152
SE/4 Section 5 & NE of Section 9
Township 7 South, Range 95 West of the 6th P.M.
Garfield, County Colorado
Practical Description: GV 82-5 Located in
Section 5 of the Battlement Mesa PUD,
off of County Road 309
PA 41-9 Located in Section 9 of the
Battlement Mesa PUD, off of County Road 301.
Description of Request Land Use Change
Permits are requested to allow Extraction and
Processing of Natural Resources within the
Battlement Mesa PUD. These two well pads
have been operating in the PUD without the
County permits that are required by the PUD.
Well Pad GV 82-5 has 6 existing wells and plan
to drill 16 additional. Well Pad PA 41-9 has
2existing wells and plan to drill no additional.
All persons affected by the proposed Special Use
Permits are invited to appear and state their views,
protests or support. If you can not appear
personally at such hearing, then you are urged to
state your views by letter, as the Planning
Commission and the Board of County
Commissioners will give consideration to the
comments of surrounding property owners, and
others affected, in deciding whether to grant or
deny the request. The application may be
reviewed at the office of the Planning Department
located at 108 8th Street, Suite 401. Garfield
County Plaza Building, Glenwood Springs,
Colorado between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00
p.m., Monday through Friday.
A Planning Commission Public Hearing on the
application has been scheduled for the 18th
day of November, 2009, at 6:30 P.M. in the
County Commissioners Meeting Room. Garfield
County Plaza Building. 108 8th Street, Glenwood
Springs, Colorado.
A Board of County Commissioner Public
Hearing on the application has been scheduled
for the 14th day of December, 2009, at 1:15 P.M.
in the County Commissioners Meeting Room,
Garfield County Plaza Building; 108 8th Street,
Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
