Re: Shriver Petition for SB -35 Exemption
Dear Terry:
Enclosed please find the Petition for Exemption with Exhibits
A through I from William and Patricia Shriver. Exhibits D
and E require some additional explanation. The subject
property is surrounded on three sides by properties included
in the La Mesa sketch plan. It is proposed that the subject
property be used as a roadway in La Mesa. I have included
the sketch plan for La Mesa (Exhibit D) and a preliminary
drawing of the proposed use of the property as a roadway (Exhibit
E). Should the subject property be utilized as residential
development property rather than as an access to the development,
it will be served by the same water and sewage systems
proposed for La Mesa. These water and sewage systems proposals
are already on file in the offices of the Garfield County
Planners in the La Mesa development files.
Thank you for your consideration.
Very truly yours,
J

Dear Terry:
The City of Rifle has no objections to the Shriver Subdivision Exemption,
as the property is surrounded on three sides by the proposed La Mesa
development and is intended to be utilized for the project's eastern
bypass. In addition, inclusion of the Shriver property into Good's
parcel assemblage is logical in that it will provide continuity between
the requested industrial and estate lot areas. The City would have no
objections to residential development of the parcel should the eastern
bypass be realigned, as it could be served by the same water and sewage
systems proposed for La Mesa.
