PETITION FOR EXEMPTION
Pursuant to C.R.S. (1973) Section 30-28-101 (10) (a) - (d)
as amended, and the Subdivision Regulations of Garfield County,
Colorado, adopted September 1, 1972 and amended Aoril 14, 1975,
Sections 1.02.17(d) and 3.02.01, the undersigned WILLIAM R.
SLATTERY and JUDITH J. SLATTERY and PATRICK B. CORYELL and CHARLES
R. CORYELL, respectfully petition the Board of County Commissioners
of Garfield County, Colorado, to exempt by resolution certain
parcels of land situate in Lots 9 and 35 of Section 1, T. 7 S.,
R. 89 W., 6th P.M., more fully hereinafter described, from the
definitions of "subdivision" and "subdivision land" as the terms
are used and defined in C.R.S. (1973) Section 30-28-101(a) - (d)
and the Garfield County Subdivision Regulations, for the reasons
stated below:
(1) That your petitioners William R. Slattery and Judith
J. Slattery are the owners of a triangular shaped parcel
of land containing .22 acre, more or less in Lot 9 of
said Section 1, which adjoins another parcel of land con-
taining 2.00 acres, more or less, owned by them in Lots
32 and 35 of said Section 1;
(2) That your petitioners Patrick B. Coryell and Charles
R. Coryell are the owners of a parcel of land containing
34.1 acres, more or less, situate in Lots 1, 8, 32 and 35
bf said Section 1;
(3) That the land owned by said petitioners Coryell is
without access at the present time, and no use whatsoever
may be made of such land;
(4) That your petitioners have negotiated a trade or ex-
change of properties between them to enable the petitioners
Coryell to acquire access to the land owned by them, and it
is proposed that the petitioners Coryell shall trade or ex-
change to the petitioners Slattery approximately 1.0 acre,
more or less, of land in said Lot 35 situate along the
Southerly boundary of said Lot 35 and adjoining both parcels
of land presently owned by said petitioners Slattery and,
in trade or exchange for the aforesaid 1.0 acre, more or
less, to be received by the said petitioners Slattery, it
is proposed that the petitioners Slattery shall trade or
exchange to the petitioners Coryell approximately 0.11
acre, more or less, of the .22 acre, more or less, parcel
owned by said Slatterys, which parcel being traded or
exchanged to the petitioners Coryell will adjoin the
Southerly boundary of petitioners Coryell Lot 35;
(5) That the ultimate effect of the trade or exchange will
not increase the number of parcels of land ownership between
the parties, but will enable each of said land owners to make
more effective use of the land owned by each of them;
(6) That the correct and proper descriptions of the parcels
of land to ,be traded or exchanged is not available at
this time, but an accurate survey of such parcels will be
made by a licensed surveyor if this petition is granted,
and copies thereof will be delivered to the Board of County
Commissioners of Garfield County, Colorado for its records
and use prior to the exchange of deeds between your petitioners.

PATRICK B. CORYELL and CHARLES R. CORYELL, owners, have petitioned
the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, Colorado for
exemption of certain lands pursuant to the provisions of C.R.S.
(1973) Section 30-28-101(a) (d) as amended, and the Subdivision
Regulations of Garfield County, Colorado, adopted September 1,
1972 and amended April 14, 1975, Sections 1.02.17(d) and 3.02.01,
for the division of a .22 acre, more or less, tract into two
tracts of approximately .11 acre, more or less, each and a 34.1
acres, more or less, tract into two tracts of approximately 1.0
acre, more or less, and 33.1 acres, more or less, to enable said
