Ursa received approval of the Wasatch Bench Facility air permit from the Colorado Department of Public
Health and Environment (CDPHE) on November 3, 2016. The air permit requires Ursa to meet a 70%
removal efficiency of hydrocarbons from the water entering the pond. In order to meet this efficiency
requirement, the following equipment is needed to be placed on location in addition to existing
equipment on location:
•1 de-sander (12’ x 36’, 720 bbls)
•1 skim tank (15 ½’ x 30”, 1,000 bbls)
Existing secondary containment will be modified to accommodate the two additional tanks. The loadout
area will also be reconfigured and repiped. Ursa does not anticipate additional surface disturbance will
be required for these site modifications.
Ursa must have the modifications complete and demonstrate the required 70% efficiency by May 2,
2017 (180 days from the date of permit issuance).
