Dear Mr. Sefcovic:
We have reviewed the loading on your proposed beams, based on the plans by Magnolia Homes,
and the information you provided. The beam proposed for the 16 -foot span is approximately
equal to a W -10x30, based on your dimensions of the beam. Similarly, the beam for the 11 -foot
and 12 -foot spans is approximately equal to a W -10x22. Our check was based on total loads of
50 psf for each of the roof and the floor. Both beams are adequate based on the above
information.
