The current design was done according to the 2015 IRC's 115 mph criteria. This site does just barely slip into Seismic Design Category C, however wind loads control the lateral design. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks, Frank Frank N. Rinaldi, P.E. Lindauer Dunn, Inc. ph. (970) 241-0900 fx. ( 970) 243-2430 From: David Argo Sent: Friday, April 28, 2017 9:47 AM To: blake@buildwithrm.com Cc: Ijlfrank@gwestoffice.net Subject: Daley Residence, Springridge Lot 24 - Permit #BLRE-04-17-4653 Blake: I've completed my plan review for the Daley Residence, but have a few outstanding items that require verification or clarification from your Structural Engineer: a. Reference building code for this project is 2015 IRC, not 2012 versions of ICC codes as called out on Sheet Al. Please confirm that design drawings comply with the 2015 IRC. b. Wind Speed — A new provision of the 2015 IRC is that wind speed requirement has been changed to 115 mph Ultimate Speed. Please confirm that design complies with this requirement. c. Seismic Category — The subject property is in seismic zone "C" (not B as shown on plans). Please verify that design complies with this requirement. If you could please have your Structural Engineer send me an email response to these remaining issues, we will follow- up with building permit issuance for this project.
