Dear Ed,
The review process has resulted in comments from the County Surveyor that will require submittal of a
revised amended plat. Included in this letter are planning staff comments on the originally submitted
plat. The following changes are required:
1. The title of the plat shall read:
Amended Final Plat
Aspen Glen, Filing 1, Lots B6, B7, B8 and B9
County of Garfield, State of Colorado
2. The Certificate of Dedication and Ownership must be changed to reflect the title change of the
plat.
3. Notary blocks are required for each signature in the Certificate of Dedication and Ownership.
4. Attached are the required plat certificates that must be on an Amended Final Plat. All language
must be verbatim.
5. The Purpose Statement shall be moved from the title to the notes.
6. A note must appear on this plat that all notes on the Aspen Glen Subdivision, Filing 1 plat are
still applicable to the properties described in this amendment.
7. The proposed not regarding easements as noted or shown the Final Plat is insufficient. The
Amended Final Plat must indicate all easements of record on the four properties.
8. The graphic must include the base information of all four properties subject to this amendment,
with all survey data and easements shown. The area of Lot B8 to be incorporated into each lot
could be shown with crosshatching, for example.
The County Surveyor has reviewed the plat and returned it due to non-compliance with statutory
requirements. Please submit a revised blueline for additional planning staff and County Surveyor
review.
The Director decision is scheduled for December 2, 2013 and, per your request, we are attempting to
get this plat signed and recorded prior to the end of the year. As we had discussed, this will be a very
tight timeframe. This has now been complicated by the fact that the plat needs to be amended and re-
reviewed. I would suggest providing a copy of this letter to your surveyor and getting us a revision as
soon as possible.
Feel free to call me with any questions.
