Cf:NERAL NOTES:
li All water and sewer lines and appurtenances shall be
constructed in accordance with approved specifications
and p lans of appropriate District.
2) Six feet of cover shall be maintained on all water lines.
3) Ductile iron pipe shall be Class 52 with a laying length
of 20 feet.
4) Ductile iron pipe shall conform to Federal specification
WW -P-421C.
5) Ductile iron pipe joints shall be Tyton type.
6) PVC pressure pipe conforming to AWWA C900 may be use at
the contractors option.
7) PVC pipe shall be Class 200 meeting the requirements of
DR 18.
8) PVC pipe joints shall be Tyton type equipped with an
elastomeric expansion and contraction ring.
9) \11 tees anr1 crosses shall be Class 52 ductile iron ana
shall have mechanical joints.
10) Fittings for rPcciving of valves in the line shall be
mechanical joints con forming to AWW\ Cl0-6 4 designed
for 250 psi.
11) All bends, either horizontal or vertical , shall have a
flexible type joint, common to the type of pipe or pipe
joints being used.
12) Concrete thrust blocks shall obtain 3000 psi -28 dai
strength.
13) All pipe sha 1 )e subject to pressure sts
witnessed by District representative.
14) Valve marker signs shall be installed according to d~tail
at contractors exper1se.
15) Individual water meters and/or PRV valves shall be requir ed
on all lots at time of 'ieve lopment at lot ovmers exp~se.
16) All water and sewer service taps shall be made prior to
paving or laying of curbs and gutters. Water taps shall be
placed in a sing le trench where two lines ai:e indicat~d
on drawings ilnd extend a minimum of 10 feet beyond the

17) Sewer pipe shall be PVC conforming to ASTM 03034-SDR 35 ann
installed in 12.5 foo t lengths .
