Wastewater DisPosal Plan
SEWER - The Spring Valley Sanitation District (SVSD) will provide sewer
service for the Pinyon lVtesa Subdivision, Attached hereto is an "Ability to
Service" letter from the District's attorney'
The SVSD recently upgraded its wastewater treatment facility and sewage
collection infrastricture. As part of that upgrade, the District anticipated the
service to Pinyon Mesa. With respect to sewage collection infrastructure, a
sewage lift stition, commonly known as the Lower Bench Lift Station, and
assoc'iated 4-inch force main were construgted from the proiect to the
District's collection system line in the Los Amigos Ranch PUD. Attached
hereto is a copy of the Site Application approved by the CDPHE. ln addition,
g-inch gravity iollection sewer mains were extended away from the lift
station 1o seivice the project, Those points are indicated on the associated
engineering drawings wh-ere connection to existing syste. it_indicated'
fh5se gravlty colleclion lines were designed to service the 8O single-family
units proposed for PinYon Mesa.
lnfrastructure within the development will consist of 8-inch sewerlines
extending to the lots within the development, lt should be noted that there
may be Jnumber of lots that will require pumping of sewage.from individual
loti into to gravity collection system aQjacent to a particular lot' -Furtherinvestigatioi is aiso being conducted about the constructability of a gravity
sewerline servicing the end cul-de-sac on the end of Pinyon Mesa. Drive' The
alternative service for this area is to construct a small diameter, low-
pressure sewage collection system connected into a common force main
accessing ttre gravity collection system at the intersection of Pinyon Mesa
Drive and paintbrusi Way. The mq.,lority of the lots that are currently served
by SVSD, those being Filings 6 through 1o of the Elk Springs PUD, are
s6rviced by a similarlystem. Such a system is allowable by the regulations
of SVSD.
All the new sewer infrastructure will be designed and built to meet the
specifications of the SVSD. Upon completioi of the construction and
acceptance by the District, they will be dedicated to the District for ongoing
operation and maintenance.
The average wastewater collection is calculated as follows:
