Section 106,4.2 states the set of approved plans returned to the applicant shall be kept on the site at all times during which work authorized in progress_" Section 108.8 states " Reinspection fees ($42) may be assessed when the inspection record card or the approved plans are not readily available to the inspector, or from deviating from the approved plat:s." Taking pictures of any portion of the building process is not allowed by us under any circumstance as a substitute for required inspections. Since we did not see the steel in your footer before you poured your concrete. we can not ever sign offon the footer inspection. In your case, we will take your footer photographs and note on the inspection cards "pictures". Make sure to keep your approved plans and inspection record card available to us in the future, and to call at least 24 hours ahead to schedule inspections BEFORE COVERING. We will not require you to engage a Registered Professional Engineer for your footer, however any future deviations from the required inspection process will require an engineer's evaluation, and a "Stop Work" order wi]1 be placed on the addition until properly resolved with the building department.
