Dear Mr. and Mrs. Petrocco:
Pursuant to Mrs. Petrocco's visit to the Building Division of the Department
of Development and your subsequent telephone call to this office in SeptEnker
of 1983, I will repeat those procedures required to obtain a refund on your
Building Permit. We must have written application or request from you in
order to process any type of rebate." The above request is required by the
Uniform Building Code, Section 304, 2 (e). This Section does-not allow a
refund on the plan check since it has been performed, however, an 80% refund
is allowed on the building permit fee. Section 304, c) allanrs an extension of
the building permit of 180 days upon submittal of a request shoring cause by the
applicant.
The total fee was $367.90 (three hundred sisty -seven and 90/100 dollars).
The plan check fee was $84.90 (eighty -four and 90/100 dollars) and the building
ennit charge was $283.00 (two hundred eithy -three and no /100 dollars). The
refund from the building permit portion is 80% of $283.00 for a total of $226.40.
In order to process the request for the above refund, we will need a letter from
you with the paperwork on Building Permit #2868 so we may cancel the permit.
When we receive the foregoing documents, we will process the refund request thru
the Garfield County thnmissioners.
The Septic Permit will not be refunded, since the application has been processed
and the percolation test performed and field design established.
