In addition to regulations contained elsewhere in this
Resolution, the use of land and buildings shall be
governed by the following regulations:
SUPPLEMENTARY USE JlEGULl\TlONS
Uti 11 ty Facilities: Nothing in these regulations shall
be construed to prohibit construction or installation of
a public utility use or structurn necessary for
transmission of co1nmodities or services of a utility
company from a main or distribution line to a private
consumer. -Mains or distribution lines shall be special
uses in any zone district. Storage, maintenance and
business offices shall be restricted to their appropriate
zone district and regulated in accordance with such
non-utility uses. (A. 81-145) ·
Minimwn Off-Street Parking: Parking spaces shall be
provided for each use in the following amounts:
(1) Residential (except group quarters) -1 space per 600
square feet of floor area or 1 space per dwelling unit,
whichever is greater; each separately rentable room or
group of rooms shall be considered a dwelling unit;
(2) Residential -group quarters -1 space per bed;
( 3) Retail and service co1nmercial -1 space per 200
square feet of floor area (except storage area);
(4) Auditorium and public assembly - l space per 100
square feet of floor area used for seating or assembly;
(5) Public and health facilities (except auditoriuin and
public assembly) -1 space per ZOO square feet of floor
area (except storage area); ·
(6) Ski facilities -1 space per 4 persons of hourly
base lift capacity;

Ste. 705. In Group B Occupancy buildings, all enclosed portions customarily
occupied by human beings, other than rooms and areas for which requirements are
specified clsewbere in this section, sball be provided with natural light by means
of exterior glazed opeoings with an area equal to one tenth of the total floor area of
s.ucb portions~ and natural ventilation by means of exterior openings with an
open able area not less than one twentieth of the total floor area of <uch portions, or
shall be provided with artificial light and a mechanically operated ventilating
system. The mechanically operated ventilation sy<tem shall be capable of supply-
ing a minimum of 5 cubjc feet per n1inute of outside air per occupant with a total
circ:uI.ated of no~ less than 15 cubic feet per min are per occupant in an occupied
portions of the building.
In all buildings or portions thereof where o.., I, II or ID-A liquids are used,
exhaust ventilation shall be provided sufficient w produce six air changes per
hour: Such exhau<t ventilation mall be taken from a point at or neartbe floor level.
In all parking garages, other than open parking garages as defined in Section
709 (b), used for storing or handling of automobiles operating under their own
power and on all loading plarfonns in bus terminals, veoti.lation shall be provided
capable of exhausting a minimum of 1. S cfm per >quare foot of gross floor area.
The building official may approve an alternate ventilation system designed to
exhaust a minimwn of 14, 000 cfm for each operating vehicle. Such system shall
be based upon the anticipated .instmtaneous movement rate of-vehicles bw: nor
less than 2.5 portent (or one vehicle) of the garage capacity. Automatic CO
sensing devices may be employed to modulate che ventilation system co maintain a
