The BOCC conditionally approved the Scott's request for the creation of an additional exempt lot,
generally located south of the Silt Town Limits line as portrayed on the sketch map. However, prior
to final exemption approval by the BOCC, Mr. Scott decided to adjust the boundaries of an earlier
exempted lot, the "triangular" lot that was originally a portion of the northeast corner of the parent
tract. The applicant represented to staff this was to better comply with eventual rezoning of the
property and annexation to the Town of Silt. Additionally, the lot in the southeastern corner was
created by an earlier exemption and further increased in size to 5 acres by request of the applicant.
Upon staff discovering this new intent, staff advised the applicant that he may want to consider
allowing the conditional approval for the exempt lot to expire and concurrently ask the BOCC for
approval of an amended plat, which is essentially what the application would have been had the
applicant not wanted to create another exempt parcel. The applicant presented a plat entitled the
Sievers Amended Exemption Plat, which was conceptually approved by the BOCC on 1/6/97.
In conclusion, an exemption for what would have been the fourth exemption parcel was not approved
by the BOCC; however, the Board did approve an amended final plat.

a subdivision exemption "Scott Subdivision Exemption."

Sievers Amended Exemption Plat
Dear Mark,
I have reviewed the above referenced plat and find the
following:
1.Describe monuments found with LS number including brass
cap Section Corner.
2.Bearing S 84 2900" E in description of Lot 1 is shown as
84 28'58" E on plat.
3.Bearing N 1 55'42" E in description of Lot 1 and 3 is
shown as N 1 5540" E on plat.
4.Bearing N 72 20'33" E in description of Lot 3 is shown as
N 72 2030" E on plat.
5.Revise area 5.00 acres on plat to match 5.002 acres in
description of Lot 2.
