Should a liquor smre be classified as a Group H, Division 3 Occupancy? The quantity of liquids involved exceeds the exempt amounts <et forth in Table No. 9-A. 47 A• Table No. 9-A of lhe Uniform Building Code establishes • quantities of hazardous materials1 liquids and chemi- cals which may be stored or handled withoutclas&ifying the use as a Group H Occupancy. Also 1 in certain cases, additional amounts of flammable liquids are also exempt. Flammable materials handled in containers would fall into a Croup 8 1 Division 2 classification, including a liquor store. The size of individual containers, however, should nol exceed 4 liters. Sec Footnote No. 3 to fable No. 9·A. Other example< of flammable orcornbustihle liquids in containers having a capacity of less than4 liters thflt would be exempt from the requirements of Section 901 are medic::ines 1 cosmetics and foodstuffs.
