Thompson _ _,;··._. / ;'_.,,./ \./ October 10, 1984 Three-way telecon with Jerry Cardwill on September 9, 1984 On the 9th of September, the three-way tel econ with Super "8" Motel's legal representative, Jerry Cardwill provided discussion of the fo 11 owing i terns: 1. The vertical piers located adjacent.to Colonial Inn's road have been installed and the attaching arms and two bolts per pier have been installed to the retaining wall. However, to date the backfill and grading adjacent to the Colonial Inn road has not been accomplished. This must be done prior to snowfall in order for the wall to have proper drainage and the road to be able to be used. 2. The Garfield County Building division has been very lenient in regards to allowing additional design and construction time. If the following items are not rectified within 10 days, I recommend that the County proceed to obtain a court order to complete the total job and charge such back to the Super "8" Motel in the form of a tax lien as pro- vided in abatement of Dangerouse Buildings, Chapter 4, Section 401, Paragraphs 3, 4 and 5(c). A. The approved plans had an addition which required a protective rail 42" high along the entire retaining wall length with a maximum opening of 6". This is in conformance with UBC Section 1711; A Note: "Backfill east side of wall to carry water away from wall". 3. Earl, the Building Permit was approved on March 5, 1984. 109 8TH STREET The application was dated April 19th and I appraised the application on April 27, 1984. The first inspection was made on July 13, 1984 and the bolted connection inspection was made on August 31, 1984. The attached shows construc- tion beginning date as May 10, 1984 and completion date as of June 1, 1984. The above dates have not been met. P.O. The Super 11 8 11 Motel asked if they could put up an additional buttress to support the wall area adjacent to the electrical transformer. Jim said this would be 0.K. and I agree with him 100%.
