CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Dear Mr. Terrell:
Garfield County uses the 1988 Uniform Building code and other associated codes as the basis
of the County Building Code. Section 305(d) requires the following:
"There shall be a final inspection and approval of all buildings and structures when
completed and ready for occupancy and use".
A final inspection can only be made and considered complete when the final grading and the
structure have been inspected in compliance with the building code.
At your request, a final inspection was made by this office. The following change was made
to the original plans submitted for your building permit application:
-The doors from the living room and master bedroom are barricaded due to
noncompletion of the deck.
By making these alterations to the plans, wecanmakeafinding that no substantial hazard will
result from the occupancy of the building if these modifications remain in place.
By this letter, we are finding that no substantial hazard will result from the occupancy" of the
building and will suffice as a Certificate of Occupancy.
