Architectural detail, integrity of materials and state-of-the-art research and development combine to pro- vide a product with maximum cost effectiveness. Description: Three-dimensional finned and coated absorber plate enclosed in insulation-lined aluminum frame and backing and covered with transparent tempered glass. Materials & Construction: Transparent cover consists of one sheet of tempered glass with EPDM weatherstrip seal. The glass is enclosed in an extruded Terratone aluminum frame with an integral mount- ing track.The extruded cap is supported at the fulcrum point to provide maximum sealing. The absorber plate consists of an all-copper absorber plate with a selective black chrome or selective black paint coating. The insulation on back ( 1 W') and side ( 1 ") is isocyanurate rigid board with fiberglass between absorber and back insulation. The back is .020" sheet aluminum. Applications: Ideal for all water & space heating systems. Installation Procedures: Units are supplied completely pre-assembled. They need only to be placed in position and connected to external piping in order to function. Installation may be on roofs, walls, or as free-standing units. A supporting frame- work may be required to achieve optimum orientation. Structural reinforcements are not usually required for roof or wall mounting due to light load factor of 4.5 lb.I sq. ft. imposed by unit. BRAYCO •1 888 Solar Collector Fluid is a red liquid having a viscosity of 6.3 centistokes at 100°F. It is fluid from ·100°F to 550°F, exhibits excellent thermal and oxidative stability and has an unusually high flash point for a hydrocarbon fluid in this viscosity range. USE: BRAYCO"' 888 Solar Collector Fluid is designed for use in most solar collectors built. Toxological studies have been performed on BRAYCO"' 888 and it is considered non·irritating and practically non-toxic. It Is non- corrosive. It is designed to replace most of the know~ heat transfer fluids like ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, silicones, aromatic mineral oil, naphthenic mineral oil, paraffin;c mineral oil with improved results, especially heat transfer capabilities.
