Builders, Attn: Dwayne 734 Main Street Carbondale, CO 81623 Subsurface Investigation and. Repair Onsite Wastewater System Design Existing 3 -Bedroom Ranch House Main Ranch House at The Ranch at Coulter Creek Garfield County, Colorado Project No. 1428 A upNL ALL SERVICE septic, LLC performed a subsurface investigation and an Onsite wastewater system (OWS) design for the subject residence. The property is located outside of Catherine Colorado, in an area where OWS are necessary. SITE CONDITIONS A single -fainly 3-bedroorn ranch house presently exists. The current OWS is experiencing problems. There is an existing drain field that will be abandoned. The proposed drain field area slopes 20% to the southeast, and vegetation consists of a moderate cover of native grasses. SUBSURFACE The subsurface was investigated by digging one profile pit and three percolation holes, as indicated. The materials encountered in the profile pit consisted of 1 -,foot of road base and gravel, underlain by sandy clay with gravel and cobbles, underlain by sandy clay with sparse gravel to the maximum depth explored of 8 feet. Groundwater or bedrock was not encountered, Three percolation holes were dug, in the area of the proposed drain field, as indicated. Percolation rates ranged from 20 to 27 minutes per inch (MPI). A 25 MPI rate will be used to design the OWS. DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS The repair OWS design is based on 3 -bedrooms and an average sewage load of 450 OPD. The installation must include the existing 1000 -gallon, two-compartment, precast concrete septic tank, to be followed by 36 `Quick -4' graveness chambers in three trenches, Each trench should have 12 chambers, equaling 356 SF of infiltrative area. An effluent filter may be added to the outlet of the The design is based on infomiation submittal. If soil conditions encountered are different from conditions described in report, ALt. SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified, Ali OWS construction must be according to the county regulations. Requirements not specified in this report must follow county regulations. The installer should have documented and demons ted knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in wbicb they are working. Please call with questions.
