Eagle Carports/Moore & Associates Structural Design Package — Much of the information in this package is simply not legible and therefore cannot be reviewed or approved by our office. Please submit higher quality resolution drawings so that we can properly review this information. (Larger size drawings may be required to meet this requirement.) 2. Snow Load Requirements — Engineer to provide verification that design meets or exceeds Garfield County's snow load requirements. Since this property is located at approximately 7,630 feet above sea level, design must meet 50 PSF load as measured at roof (not at ground level as indicated by Engineer). If calculated at ground level, this required snow load will be approx. 20 PSF higher than the 50 PSF requirement at roof level (or 70+ PSF at ground level). Structural Engineer to verify compliance with these requirements. 3. Wind Load Requirements — Engineer to provide verification that design meets or exceeds Garfield County's wind load requirements of 115 mph Ultimate Wind Speed (per 2015 IRC). 4. Floor Plan —There is no floor plan provided in the drawings submitted by Moore & Associates. A floor plan depiction of the proposed building is required and it must show the correct size (length x width) of the proposed building to match the 30 x 30 footprint as shown on site plan. 5. Exterior Elevations & Sections — Is this building the "Box Eave Frame" or the "Bow Frame Rafter Structure"? Drawings must properly indicate the correct vertical dimensions of the building (not multiple options). Also provide clarification with regard to actual height of proposed building (floor to eave height). 6. Foundation Detail — If a shallow frost protected concrete foundation will be used, it must comply with the minimum steel and concrete specifications as shown on the attached "Foundation Detail A" in order to meet Garfield County's requirements (see attached PDF). Please have the Engineer submit this required information at the earliest opportunity so that we can proceed with our plan review of this project. Until we receive this follow-up information we will place this project in our "pending" file while awaiting response to these items. Thank you for your assistance on this matter.
