As requested, structural steel special inspection was condtrc:ted per the IIX' 2015
f�'clitic :ra Chapter 17: Structural Tests and Special inspection and Garfield County
recllair aase t , 1 arrived on site at 2:45 PM, I met with you to review project requirements
and speed€,atr(s.
The purpose of my visit to ibis j h site was To conduct high strength bolting
inspection on a Star Building Systems pre-engineered metal building. Star Building
Systems drawing El or 13: Job 015-B-47589 wits utilized for this inspection. The
General Notes require "Snug Tight- bolt tensioning. One half" inch, three quarter inch,
and one and one quarter inch diameter A325 Heavy Hex bolts and nuts werc employed
throughout the area of inspection, The erection contractor was identified as \VGA
l.,ogworks. Please refer to my report dated October 4, 2017 concerning partial inspe ;ti3
conducted on that date.
When 1 arrived e area of inspection in the Arena Area,1 olasereed that. zlr,
David Cars -wet/ and his assistant were in the process.of re -tensioning irink;. in tiac arena
which vas not inspected on ('etober 4. 201 7_ I also observed dun the missing holt at the
south end olE.hc lifh main frame froni the east end wall had hecn installed. 1 witnessed
Mr. Carswell and his assistant re -tension the remainder or the bolting in the Arena Arca
to a 'snug tight' tensioning. Upon completion of hotting inspection in the Arena Area. I
accompanied you in the "raceway" portion of the structure and witnessed you confirm
"snug right" tensioning of all the bolting that had not been re -tensioned during my
October 4. 2017 inspection.
In summary. as per AISC lequircrncnts. at least 10% atilt: bolt assemblic*s and at
ic,aksa tw() bolt assemblies per bolted connection in this structure were confirmed to meet
the ".7ntrg tight" tensioning project requirement, .i ll. %_tachor lac=lt a were exalt -hued and

found to meet requirements. All bolting deficiencies that were !found today and on
October 4. 2417 were observed to he in compliance with project specifications,
