I spoke with both Andy Schwaller & Glenn Hartmann here in our office following our conversation last week regarding
Liz Meador's project located at 1951 County Road 154. As you probably know, Glenn is our resident Sr. Planner who is
most familiar with FEMA & floodplain issues.
Because the proposed retaining walls, planters & patios extend towards the Roaring Fork River, we will need to receive a
site plan illustrating the location of both the 100 -year floodplain and the 35' setback from high water mark along the
river before we can approve this building permit. This information needs to be prepared by either a Professional
Engineer or a Licensed Surveyor and properly referenced as such. Since you have already consulted with Resource
Engineering, perhaps they can provide you with assistance in fulfilling this requirement?
Once we receive this follow-up information we should be able to expeditiously approve and issue for building permit.
