This letter is provided at the request of the owner of the above referenced project. It is my understanding that
continuous rebar placement for the footings was primarily #4 rather than #5 as called for on the plans. Three #4
rebar may be substituted for (2) #5 rebar at any location.
The footing rebar requirements are as follows:
1. Perimeter footing — (3) #4 or (2) #5 continuous, top and bottom with 3" clear from formwork.
2. Interior grade beams — (3) #4 or (2) #5 continuous at centerline.
