RE: Aspen Glen H-22/62 Horseshoe Lane
Design Review Committee Building Envelope Amendment Request
The purpose of this memorandum is to inform you that a property owner
within your neighborhood has requested to amend the building envelope.
The current property owner submitted plans for a new single-family home
and received DRC approval for their home based upon the original platted
building envelope. The surveyor for the property owner did not find that the
building envelope had been amended and a plat recorded in 2007. The
property owner requests to adjust the building envelope back to the original
configuration; the configuration that the current home was designed for and
was noticed to neighbors in June of 2017.
The Design Review Committee (DRC) will consider this request at their
regular meeting December 6, 2017 at 9 am in the Board Room of the Aspen
Glen Club. The DRC is considering this request because it has become
standard protocol with the Garfield County Building and Planning
Department to seek referral comments from Aspen Glen via the DRC on
matters related to improvements to property.
This meeting will be open to the public and/or written comments may be
submitted by Aspen Glen property owners to the DRC regarding this
application. Please email any comments to the Design Review
Administrator at leslielamont@aspenglenhoa.com by December 5, 2017 at 5
pm. As well, please do not hesitate to call me with questions.

I have attached to this letter three exhibits. One is the recorded plat of the
amended building envelope, the second shows the footprint of the recent
home that was approved by the DRC and where the building envelope
compromises that approval, and the survey that show the original building
envelope.
