Sierra Excavation installed the system. The existing septic tanks were removed. The existing sewer line exiting the residence was connected to a new 1500-gallon, two-compartment Forterra concrete septic tank. We instructed the installer to add an effluent filter on the outlet tee. This filter must be cleaned annually, or as needed. The installer opted to install a cleanout in the inside of the septic tank on the inlet tee. While this was not specified in our design, we have no objection to this installation. Effluent gravity flows to a distribution box, and then to two gravelless chamber beds, one on the upper bench and one on the lower bench. We instructed the installer to assure the distribution box was accessible from grade and to install flow equalizers, or similar product, on each outlet pipe in the distribution box to assure equal flow to each bed. The bed on the upper bench consists of 4 rows of 7 ‘Quick 4’ Standard Plus Infiltrator® chambers connected with a level manifold, for a total area of 336 square feet of infiltrative area. The bed on the lower bench consists of 3 rows of 9 ‘Quick 4’ Standard Plus Infiltrator® chambers connected with a level manifold, for a total area of 324 square feet of infiltrative area. There will be a total of 55 chambers and 660 square feet of infiltrative area between the two beds. Inspection ports were installed in each corner of each bed. Ports may be cut to grade and placed in sprinkler boxes for access. I verified with the installer by phone that all recommendations were completed prior to backfill. Additionally, chambers were encountered during construction of the lower bench, but no contaminated soils were found. The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county regulations. LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil type, and weather conditions. Please call with questions.
