You, the property owner, installed the system based on design specifications from this office dated March 8, 2010. This permit has remained open through the years based on progress of the construction of your residence, in cooperation with Garfield County Building Department. The installation included a new 1000 -gallon, two-compartment concrete septic tank with an Orenco® effluent filter on the outlet tee. This filter must be cleaned annually, or as needed. An additional 500 - gallon poly `Norwesco' septic tank with a pumping system was also installed. The alarm for the pumping system is located near the northwest corner of the residence, within line of sight of the septic tanks. Both septic tanks have manhole lids that are brought to grade with risers. Effluent is pumped via a 2 -inch diameter pump line to a gravelless chamber bed with seven rows of 8 'ARC 36' chambers. This bed is pressurized through 1.5 -inch diameter laterals with '/4" orifices placed 3.5 -feet on center. Laterals were suspended with zip ties to the top of the chambers and connected with a 1.5" diameter level manifold. The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county regulations. LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil type, and weather conditions. Please call with questions. Don't: • Pour cooking grease or oil down the sink or toilet. • Rinse coffee grounds into the sink. • Pour household chemicals down the sink or flush them. Do: • Eliminate or limit the use of a garbage disposal. • Properly dispose of coffee grounds a food. • Put grease in a container to harden before discarding in the trash. Don't: • Flush non -degradable products or chemicals, such as feminine hygiene products, condoms, dental floss, diapers, cigarette butts, cat litter, paper towels, pharmaceuticals. Do: • Dispose of these items in the trash can! Don't: • Park or drive on your drainfield. The weight can damage the drain lines. • Plant trees or shrubs too close to your drainfield, roots can grow into your system and clog it. Do: • Consult a septic service professional to advise you of the proper distance for planting trees and shrubs, depending on your septic tank location. Don't • Concentrate your water use by using your dishwasher, shower, washing machine, and toilet at the same time. All that extra water can really strain your septic system. Do: • Stagger the use of water -generating appliances. This can be helpful especially if your system has not been pumped in a long time. • Become more water efficient by fixing plumbing leaks and consider installing bathroom and kitchen faucet aerators and water -efficient products.
