Inspection of shop fabrication or field work at job site: Field
Report: Visually inspected field welding & high strength A325 bolting at plate
type moment connections roof level framing grids C & D. Also re -inspected
connection noted in the last report #4. Angle clips with slotted holes had been
welded to web of primary beam with 1/4" fillet welds.
The onsite welding & bolting inspected/re-inspected above appeared to be in
substantial conformance with the plans, and the quality requirements of the AWS
D1.1 Structural Welding Code & the AISC/RCSC Specification for high strength
bolting.
Further inspections will need to be performed as work progresses on the project.
