Andy,
We have been contacted by Mr. Jeff Tuttle regarding the aforementioned project, in
which he is in the process of applying for an Accessory Dwelling Unit within the existing
residence's lower level. A secondary entrance has been provided per code
requirements.
Per my discussions with Mr. Tuttle, you have requested a letter addressing a t hour fire
separation between floors. To the best of our knowledge and abilities, we have
confirmed that the existing ceiling was finished with 5/8" Type X sheet rock. The home
was framed with ljoists @ 16" o.c. and insulated with R-L9 insulation between floors.
The subfloor materialis3/4" T & G o.s.B. with a floor finish of hardwood.
The existing residence was approved and constructed per County codes in 2008, and per
associated drawings.
