Box 798 Kremmling, Colorado 80459 don.eggers@ eggei4architectom.com Project No. 17-7-263.03 Subject: As -Built Evaluation of Onsite Wastewater Treatment System, Proposed Barn Residence, Big Mountain Ranch, 2147 Ute Stock Drive, North of Rifle, Garfield County, Colorado Dear Mr. Eggers: As requested, we observed the installation of the onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) installation at the at the subject site as required by the Garfield County Environmental Health Department. Our observations and recommendations for the As -Built evaluation are presented in this report. The services are supplemental to our agreement for professional services to Eggers Architecture, Inc. dated March 28, 2017. H-P/Kumar previously designed the OWTS for the proposed residence submitting our recommendations in a report dated October 16, 2017, Project No. 17-7-263.03. The system was designed for three bedrooms. The OWTS was installed by Western Colorado Excavating, Inc. We performed our As -Built evaluation on November 1, 2017 and April 20, 2018. On November 1, 2017, the OWTS components observed included: sewer line, cleanout, septic tank, effluent pump, effluent transport line, soil treatment area (STA) and the locations of these components. The installation and locations of the system components were verified as shown on Figure 1. Photographs of the OWTS installation are provided in the attached Photograph Log. Power and water were not yet supplied to the OWTS at the time of our inspections. We returned to the site on April 20,2018 after power and water had been supplied to the pump, so a pump performance test could be performed. After some field adjustments, the pump was observed to be functioning properly. It is our opinion that the OWTS was installed in general conformance with the above referenced design. H-P KUMAR Project No. 17-7-263.03 Don Eggers May 3, 2018 Page 2 The observations and recommendations presented above are based on our site observations and our experience in the area. We make no warranty either express or implied. Alterations to the system or improper backfill and site grading could affect the operation and effectiveness of the OWTS.
