Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) Installation Observations
Lot 2, Wooden Deer Subdivision
Garfield County, Colorado
Permit Number SEPT -05-17-4749
Brad,
ALL SERVICE septic, LLC observed the installation of the onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS)
on October 10, 2017 for the subject property. Crawford Design Build installed the system.
The system installation included a new 1500 -gallon, two-compartment Roth® septic tank with an effluent
filter installed on the outlet tee of the septic tank. This filter must be cleaned annually, or as needed.
Effluent gravity flows to a poly distribution box and then to three gravelless chamber beds. The
distribution box was accessible from grade at the time of our inspection. We were unable to remove the
lid of the box and requested the owner/installer remove it and take photographs of the inside of the box,
but at the time of this letter, we had not yet seen these photos or been notified that the lid was removed.
Each bed consists of 3 rows of 10 `Quick 4' Infiltrator® Low Profile chambers connected with a level
manifold, for a total area of 1080 square feet of infiltrative area. The infiltrative area does not exceed 4 -
feet below native grade. Inspection ports were installed in each corner of each bed. Ports may be cut to
grade and placed in sprinkler boxes for access.
We may not have the most updated site plan for the property; therefore, the record drawing provided
here may not be accurate. We recommend a survey of the OWTS components be conducted.
Components to be identified on the survey include the clean out near the residence, the septic tank lids,
the lid to the distribution box, and the inspection ports.
The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of
workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are
made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county
regulations.
LIMITS:
Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must
have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in
which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil
type, and weather conditions.
Please call with questions.
Sincerely,
ALL SERVICE septic, LLC

Do Your Part, Be SepticSmart:
The Do's and Don'ts of Your Septic System
Learn these simple steps to protect your home, health, environment and property value:
septicsmart
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Do:
• Have your system inspected (in general) every three years by a licensed contractor
and have the tank pumped, when necessary, generally every three to five years.
Don't:
• Pour cooking grease or oil down the
sink or toilet.
• Rinse coffee grounds into the sink.
• Pour household chemicals down the
sink or flush them.
Do:
• Eliminate or limit the use of a garbage
disposal.
• Properly dispose of coffee grounds a
food.
• Put grease in a container to harden
before discarding in the trash.
Don't:
• Flush non -degradable products or
chemicals, such as feminine hygiene
products, condoms, dental floss,
diapers, cigarette butts, cat litter, paper
towels, pharmaceuticals.
Do:
• Dispose of these items in the trash can!
Don't:
• Park or drive on your drainfield. The
weight can damage the drain lines.
• Plant trees or shrubs too close to your
drainfield, roots can grow into your
system and clog it.
Do:
• Consult a septic service professional to
advise you of the proper distance for
planting trees and shrubs, depending on
your septic tank location.
Don't
• Concentrate your water use by using
your dishwasher, shower, washing
machine, and toilet at the same time.
All that extra water can really strain
your septic system.
Do:
• Stagger the use of water -generating
appliances. This can be helpful
especially if your system has not been
pumped in a long time.
• Become more water efficient by fixing
plumbing leaks and consider installing
bathroom and kitchen faucet aerators
and water -efficient products.
