The Jøtul F 370 Solid Fuel Room Heater has been tested
for compliance with the applícable requirements of the
following standards:
UL r48z-zooo "Solid-Fuel Type Room Heaters" and
ULC 56z7-zooo "Standard for Space Heaters for use with
Solid Fuels".

This manual describes the installation and operation of
the iøtul F 37o non-catalytic wood heater. Save these
instructions and make them available to anyone using
or servicing the stove. Read the entíre manual before
you install and useyour new wood stove.
This wood heater needs periodic inspection and
repair for proper operation. See this manual for specific
information. lt is against federal regulations to operate
this wood heater in a manner inconsistent with the
operating instructíons in this ownert manual.
The J0tul F 370 is listed to burn solid or compressed
wood only. Do not burn any other fuels.

r.z Combustion Specifications
Heat Output: Under specifíc laboratory test conditions,
this heater has shown heat output at rates ranging
from ro,975 to z9,o5o BTU's per hour. Actual heat
output will vary depending upon fuel þrpe and
quality, home design, climate, environment, operation,
and chlmney function.

When installing, operating and maintaining your
Jøtul F 370 Fireplace lnsert,followthe guidelines
presented ín these instructions, and make them available
to anyone using or servicing the stove.
ln the U-5., guidelines established by UL rp7 the
National Fire Protection Associationt Code, NFPA zlr,
Standardsfor Chimneys, Firepløces,Vents and Solid Fuel
Eurning Applìances,or similar regulations, may apply to
the installation of a solid fuel burning appliance ín your
area. For further information on using your heater safely,
obtain a copy of the NFPA publication "lJsing Coal and
Woad Stoves Safely,'NFPA No. HS-8-r974, available from
NFPA

ln Canada, the guidelines are established by ULC-5635,
and the CSA Standard, CAN/CSA-836S-Mg¡, lnstøllation
Code for Solid-Fuel-Burning Appliances and Equipment.
Always consult your local building inspector or authority
having jurisdiction to determine what regulations apply
and what permits may be required before installation of
a solid fuel-burning appliance.
