Plan Notes:
1. Rooms shall have exterior glazing of no less than 8% of their floor
area to provide natural light in accordance with IRC Section
R303.1, or they shall be provided with artificial light per Exception
2 of IRC Section R303.1.
2. Rooms shall be provided with natural ventilation in accordance with
IRC Section R303.1, or they shall be provided with mechanical
ventilation in accordance with IRC Section R303.1 Exceptionl.
Roof Plan Notes:
1. Complying attic access shall be provided for buildings with
combustible ceilings or roof construction (Section R807.1 of
the IRC).
2. Asphalt shingles shall be installed in accordance with IRC
Section R905.2. Flashing for asphalt shingles shall comply
with IRC Section R905.2.8.
3. Provide ice and water shield in addition to 30# felt on eave sides
of ventilated roofs and valleys, 36" minimum band back from
heated area.
4. Provide price option for gutter and downspout assemblies.
Wall Finish Notes:
1. Wall and ceiling finishes shall have a flame -spread classification of
not greater than 200 and a smoke -development index of not
greater then 450 (Section R315).
2. Wood shakes, shingles and siding used as an exterior wall
covering shall be installed in accordance with Section R703.5.
3. Exterior walls shall be provided with flashing to prevent the entry of
water into the wall cavity (Section R703.8).
