As requested, we visited the subject site on April 2, 2018. The purpose of
our síte visit was to observe the soils exposed at footing elevation for the addi-
tion. A copy of our excavatíon/footing observation report is attached.
CTL I Thompson, lnc. performed a soils and foundation investigation for
the subject site (Project No. GS06206.000-120; report dated February 26,2018).
Pursuant to our recommendation during our previous site visit, the contractor
subexcavated the clay soils to expose the underlying sand and gravel soil in all
parts of the foundation excavation. Footing elevations in the subexcavated areas
should be re-attained with densely-compacted, granular structural fill pursuant to
recommendations in our soils and foundation investigation report.
