\Mtere the garage addition foundation meets the existing foundation, drill and epoxy B" foundation wall
horizontal reinforcement into existing concrete. No reinforcement attachment is required at the new
footing.
lVhere the garage addition foundation meets the remaining concrete patio, continue the new footing at
frost depth under the existing concrete slab. Thicken the new footing by approxim ately 12" so that it
supports the underside of the existing concrete slab and the inside face of the footing will be poured
against earth. No reinforcement attachment to the existing concrete is required.
