HomeMy WebLinkAbout2.0 Memo to BOCC 09.22.1999GARFIELD COUNTY Building and Planning Department MEMO September 22, 1999 To: Board of County Commissioners From: Building & Planning, Kit Lyon Re: Tassada Amended Exemption Plat Honorable Board Members: Attached hereto please find: • An completed amended plat application form • A blueprint of the proposed Tassada Amended Plat Pursuant to Section 6:10 of the Garfield County Subdivision Regulations of 1984, an amendment can be made to a recorded plat: 6:10 An amendment may be made to a recorded plat, if such amendment does not increase the number of subdivision lots or dwelling units, result in the major relocation of a road or add new roads. The amended plat shall be submitted with a narrative explanation of the reason for the application and the consent of all land owners involved to the Garfield County Planning Department for review and comparison with the previously recorded plat. Within thirty (30) days of submittal, the amended plat shall be brought before the Board of County Commissioners for review and decision. If approved, a plat title "Amended Final Plat" shall be signed and dated by the County Surveyor, then signed and dated by the Chairman of the Board and recorded in the Clerk and Recorder's Office of Garfield County within ninety (90) days. The purpose of amending the plat is to increase the acreage of Lot 3, reduce the acreage of Lot 2, and to add a 50' wide utility and access easement along the lot line between lots 2 & 3. There will be no changes to the public road access for either lot. Lot 1 will remain unchanged. The County Surveyor, Sam Phelps, has received the amended exemption plat for review. To date, no comments have been received. Based on these findings, Staff recommends that the Tassada Amended Exemption Plat be placed on the Board of County Commissioners Consent Agenda for October 18, 1999. Assuming the Garfield County Surveyor approves of the plat amendments, Staff recommends that the origninal mylar Tassada Amended Exemption Plat be signed at that time.
