Dan tlandy and nembers of the li,iflc Gap Land Co. met with the board to clscuss the increase of. tax onthe Rifle Golf Course. Al Duckholtz of the Stale Tax Cormnission kas present to e>:plain this tax situation.lle staEed that he had reviewed this property during the reappraisal period and he felt the assessment wascorrect. ile said the only I.€y they could be relieved of this advalorem tax r.rould be to lease the course tothe City of P.ifle. This. would become an exemption as nruniclpalities are exempt advaloren tax. Dan llandy saidrhe nembers would rather not go this route, but felt they would neer with the Rifle City Council over thismaEter.
