HomeMy WebLinkAbout3.0 Correspondence• • GARFIELD COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM T0: The Record FROM: Garfield County Planning Department RE: Alex Urquhart S.B. 35 Exemption Request DATE: February 24, 1986 On Friday, February 20, 1986, Alex Urquhart visited the Planning Department office to discuss the domestic water source for his proposed S.B. 35 Exemption and submit a letter addressing the question. Mr. Urquhart was advised that previous exemptions granted on his properties have utilized certain wells for domestic purposes which are now proposed to service his new parcels. Mr. Urquhart was advised that unless these wells were approved by the Division of Water Resources for domestic use and authorized to serve multiple dwelling units, they may not be adequate. Mr. Urquhart has indicated that he is pursuing clarification of the status of his well permits from the Division of Water Resources and he would propose the use of a cistern should the well permit issue not be resolved. A copy of his letter is attached. The issuance of the permit does not assure the applicant that no injury will occur to another vested water right or preclude another owner of a vested water right from seeking relief in a civil court action. Minor modification of the plat including the addition of several plat notes has been discussed with your surveyor, Landmark Services. Prior to the signing of the plat and issuance of a formal resolution of approval, all conditions of approval as indicated at the meeting before the Board of County Commissioners on November 4th, 1985, must be completed. A copy of the minutes of that meeting has been included for your information. Please note that conditions #2, #3, and #5 remain to be completed or evidence of their satisfactory completion submitted to the Planning Department. In addition all your conditions of approval must be completed and your plat signed within 120 days of your meeting before the Board or no later than March 4th, 1986.
