Subject: Powell - Building Permit #BLRE-06-18-5342 John: I am currently reviewing a new steel building for Kent Powell, but there are a couple of questions/issues that I need to ask about: ■ Occupancy/Use of Steel Building — Can you please explain the Owner's intended occupancy/use of this building? • Site Plan —There is no site plan included in this submittal and we cannot process the permit application without a site plan. You will need to get a surveyor involved in preparing the site plan because this property is part of the Pollard Exemption which includes a prescriptive "Building Envelope" within which all buildings must be located. Until we receive this additional information, we will place this project in our "pending" file. Thanks for your assistance with these items. What is the time frame in which it is filled, it sounds like just the summer months to water the lawn? I apologize for all the questions, the issue is we have a 35 -foot waterbody setback requirement, but for that to trigger, it requires the pond to be filled for 10 -months or more out of the year. > > Thanks again, > > Patrick Waller > Senior Planner > > Garfield County > Community Development Department > 108 8th Street, Suite 401 > Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 > (970) 945-1377 ext. 1580 > pwaller@garfield-county.com > http://www.garfield-county.com/community-development/ > > Original Message > From: Shawna Powell [mailto:WCBADGER@msn.com] > Sent: Monday, October 15, 2018 3:29 PM > To: Patrick Waller > Subject: Re: Pond > > It is seasonal and we use it to water our lawn, it is filled from the ditch and it is not for agriculture. > > John Parrington, the builder is wanting to pick up the permit tomorrow, is that going to be possible? > > > Thanks > Shawna > > Sent from my iPhone 1 > » On Oct 15, 2018, at 3:07 PM, Patrick Waller <pwaller@garfield-county.com> wrote: » » Thanks Shawna this is very helpful.
