HomeMy WebLinkAboutOWTS Installation Observations 11.20.2018 November 20, 2018 Project No. C1330 Whit Whitaker Wrw2@hotmail.com Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) Installation Observations Lot 4, Ranch at Coulter Creek Garfield County, Colorado Permit Number SEPT-11-17-5033 Whit, ALL SERVICE septic, LLC observed the installation of the onsite wastewater treatment system (OW TS) on May 30 and July 3, 2018 for the subject property. Jimmy Condon installed the system. A 4-inch diameter SDR-35 sewer pipe with a double sweep cleanout was installed with a minimum 2% grade from the house to the septic tank. The system installation included a 1000-gallon, two-compartment Valley Precast concrete septic tank with an effluent filter installed on the outlet tee of the septic tank. This filter must be cleaned annually, or as needed. The septic tank manhole lids were to grade with risers for access. Effluent gravity flows to a distribution box, which was accessible from grade. Flow Equalizers were installed on each outlet line from the distribution box to assure flow is being split as equally as possible. The soil treatment area (STA) consists of four gravelless chamber trenches, each with 9 ‘ARC’ 36 chambers for a total of 540 square feet of infiltrative area. The infiltrative area was installed below the topsoil horizon. There was at least 6-feet of undisturbed soil between each trench. Inspection ports were installed at both the beginning and end of each trench. Ports may be cut to grade and covered with sprinkler boxes for access. The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county regulations. LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil type, and weather conditions. Please call with questions.
