Address: 13064 Garden Gulch Road Parachute, CO. Present and Advised regarding observation issues: Joe Jurek- OPD Field Observation Notes: Phil Vaughan arrived on-site at approximately 2:45 p.m. and departed from the site at approximately 4:30 p.m. Weather: 65 degrees and sunny. No wind. A. Storage Building #12- Garfield County Permit 1092 I reviewed the field copy of the approved Garfield County drawings for this building. Drawing 13436-931-0520 Rev. 0 details the 8- #4 bars at the perimeter with #3 ties on 12" centers. The East wall slab reinforcement was located within 1-1/2" of the perimeter formwork. OPD employees cut off these ends prior to my departure from the site and I verified that this condition was corrected. The 6 mil vapor barrier was installed as per plan. 4- 3/4"x16" anchor bolts were installed at each corner of the building. Drawing 13436-930-D0080B Rev. 2- Detail G notes the concrete encased electrode detail. This grounding detail was noted at both the North and South side of the foundation. Reinforcement was placed as per the drawings and is in compliance with IBC 2003 Table 1907.7.1. Page 1 of 6 I instructed Joe Jurek that he could proceed with pouring concrete for this foundation immediately. I had previously confirmed with David Mead- Garfield County Building Official, at approximately Noon, that I was authorized to conduct this inspection and approve the concrete pour. Exclusions: Phil Vaughan did not verify the anchor bolt layout nor did he confirm that the layout of the building foundation in relation to the plant grid or elevation. See photo below Page 2 of 6 B. Compressor Building- Garfield County Permit 1067 Formwork and reinforcement was in place and ready for inspection for Column Lines 9.5 to 5.5 and Grids A through D. This is a partial inspection as this building foundation is being poured in phases. I reviewed the field copy of the approved Garfield County drawings for this building. Drawing 13436-931-0523A Rev. 0 details the footings with #7 reinforcement in the bottom of the footing and #4 reinforcement in the top of the footing. The footing size at the mainframe columns is 5'x8'-6" x 20" deep. Each footing is noted as having 8- #7 verts extending into the pilasters with #4 ties at 12" on center. The drawing details the foundation wall at 9 feet in height and 24" in width. There are 2 mats of #5 reinforcement at 12" on center within the wall. 4- 3/4"x16" anchor bolts were installed at each pilaster location. Reinforcement was placed as per the drawings and is in compliance with IBC 2003 Table 1907.7.1. I additionally inspected 4- 4" drain pipes located at the following locations: Column Line 8.5- Grid A Column Line 8.5- Grid D Column Line 6.5- Grid A Column Line 6.5- Grid D Each of the drain pipes were extended a minimum of 4' above finish floor and were full of water. This is the pressure test protocol agreed upon with David Mead- Garfield County Building Official in regards to the testing of these drain pipes. No leaking was observed at the elbows exposed below grade. I instructed Joe Jurek that he could proceed with pouring footings and foundation walls for Column Lines 9.5 to 5.5 and Grids A through D immediately.
