I've completed my initial review of the proposed new addition to your residence currently under construction at 1007
Meadow View Lane in Glenwood Springs. Unfortunately, the revised drawings you submitted on Nov. 9 are incomplete and I
cannot finalize my review until the following items have been addressed —
STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS:
• Provide floor framing plans for new upstairs bedroom above garage
• Provide roof framing plans above upstairs bedroom
• Provide footing/foundation and deck framing plan for proposed deck extension
• If retaining wall at rear of garage exceeds 4 -feet in height, engineered detail is required
SEPTIC SYSTEM DESIGN: Provide verification that engineered septic system size will accommodate additional bedroom
ADDITIONAL FEES: This new proposed addition will result in additional building permit fees of $1,385.59 which must be paid
before you request any building inspections for this new work.
Please let me know if you have any questions about any of these items.
Also, I spoke to our chief building official, Andy Schwaller, about your desire to expedite inspections related to the concrete
footings and foundations prior to completion of our plans review of your new addition. Unfortunately, we need to have an
approved set of plans for this new addition at the job site and payment of additional permit fees before our inspectors can
perform an inspection allowing you to pour concrete. If you would like to speak with Andy directly, please feel free to give him
a call to discuss.
will look forward to receiving updated plans from your Structural Engineer as described above. After receiving these
supplemental drawings I will complete my review of your updated plans at my earliest opportunity for issuance of the
amended/approved plans.
