Jim
Thanks for your consideration on this matter. Below is the statement to the engineer from Todd Merriam with
Aspen Valley Landscaping that constructed the wall outlining how they met or exceeded the Unilok product
data specifications for their MSE wall materials and construction.

Greetings Mr Kellogg
Sean gooding asked me to contact you regarding his MSE Wall at Cain's Lane. We installed the wall
using the Unilok product data specifications. We excavated 10-12' back from the face of the wall. We
created a 24" base footer using 3/4" gravel. Once that was leveled we set and leveled the first course.
Behind the wall we used 4" ADS drain pipe with drain guard and daylighted it through the wall. There is a
drain behind the face of the entire wall with 3/4" gravel and Filter Fabric. We backfilled behind the drain
with 3/4" roadbase compacted in 12" and 6" lifts. We used GeoGrid every 18" and 10' wide. All
compaction was done using a wacker vibratory compactor. Let me know if there is any further information
I can provide.
