RE:Prock Residence

Garfield Building Department,
Silver Town Structures is the engineer of record for the Prock Residence located on Lot 115 in the
Ironbridge subdivision. Observations by Matt Monger of STS on 1/29/18 revealed cut & drilled
holes in the floor framing that violate the BCI floor system manufacturers recommendations.
Please see attached structural clarifications that are required to remedy the situation.
We also understand that the building inspector called attention to several conditions that did not
appear to match the structural plans. These include:
• (3) 2x6 columns on the gable end wall of the living room.
(2) 2x6 columns that occur at grid lines 3 and 4 along D.
■ (7) 2x6 column arrangement that has shared bearing for three beams at gridlines 2.3
& D.
All three conditions will meet or exceed code requirements. The conditions can all remain
as constructed without further modification.
