Generel Provisíons
1) The applicant represcnts all parties in interest, and afTirms that the driveway ap'proach (es) is to be corrstucæd by
him for the bona fidc putpose of securing access tc hisproperty and not for the purpose of doing business or
serricing vehicle.ç <vn the road right ofway.
Z'l. The applicant shall fumish all labor snd matqrials, perform all work" and pay all coslç in connection with the
comstnrction of the clriveway(si. All wotk sh.all be cornpleted within thirty (30) days of tho permit date.
3) Thc t1rye of consftrction shall be as designated andlor ap'proved by the Board of County Commissioners or their
tepresentative and all materials used shell be of satisfactorry quality and subjeot to inspection and approval of thc
Board of Couuty Commissioners or their teprcsentatirrc.
4) The traveling public shall he protectcd drrhg the installatiorr \¡¡ith proper waming signs and signals ffid the Board
of County Commissioners and their duly appointcd âgents and enploycc shall be held harmless against any actiorr

6) In the event it becomes nÊcessary to ¡çmoyÇ any right-of-way fence, the posts on either side of thc cntrance shall
be surely braced hefore the fence is cut to p¡rt/€nt any slackìng of the rçmaining fence and all posts and wírc
remoyed shall be turned overto the Distict Road Supcrvisot of thc Board of County Commissioners.
i) No revisions or additíons shall be madc to the drivcway(s) or it appurt€nances on the rightof-way without
written permission of the Board of County Commissioners.

Sneciflcatíons
A dríveway approach is undqrstood to be that portion of the county toad right.of way bctureenr the pavrnrcnt edgc
and tho prroperty line that is dcsigned and used for thc interchange of ftafüc bEtween the roadway and abutting
property.
2, At any intersection, a driveway shall bc restricted ñr a sufrìoient distance from the intcrsoctisn to prcsenrc the
norrnal and safe movÊmÉtt of traflìc. (It is rccommended for rural rpsidence cnü¡crces that a minimum
intersection clearance of 50 fcct be provided and fcr rural commercial cntÊnccs a r¡ini¡num of 100 fcct be
ptovided)
3. All entrances and exits shall be so¡ lçcatcd and coaskuctcd that ræhiclcs approaching or using them will þc ablc to
obtein adequate sight distance in both directions along the county road in order to maneuver safcly and without
interfvring with county road traffic.
4- The Ap'plicant shall not be permittcd t'o ef,ect any sign or displaymatcrial, either fixed or movable, on or
cxtcnding over any portion of thc cor.urty rcad rÍght-of-way.
5. Generally, no inore than one approach shall be allcwcd any pucel or prrpcrg thc frontage ofwhioh is leçs than

8. The axis of an approach to the road may Þe at a right angle to the centerlinc of thc county road and of airy angle
betwecn ninety (90) degrees and sixty (60) degrces but shall not be less than sixty (60) degrces. Adjustmmt wiil
be madç according to the type of taffic to trc senr¡ed and other physical comditions.
L The construction of parking or servicing areas on the couuty road rÍght-of-way is spccífïcally prohibited.
Commerciel establishmcnts for customer whicles should provide off-thc-road parking facilities.
t0. The gradc of cntrance and exit shall slope downward and away ftom thc road sr¡rface at the same rate as the
normal shoulder slope and for a distance equal to the width of the shoulder but in no casc le$s than trn'enty (20)
fbet from the pavement edge. Approach grades are resticted to not more than ten pa'cent (10%).
I l. Ail driveways and approaches shall be so constnrcted that they shall not intcrfcfe wittr the drainage systat of the
sheet or county road. T,he Applicant Ìvill bc roquittd to providc, at his own oxpense! drainage structurcs at
ernFances and exits, which will become an intcgral part of the existing drainage systeÍn. The Borrd of County
