Subject: Knox Exemption, Lot 2 - Permit #BLMF-06-19-5799
Shawn:
We have reviewed plans for the above referenced project, but cannot issue permits until the following items have been
addressed:
A. Soils Report —The Structural Engineer references a soils report dated 6/3/19 in their specifications, but a copy of
this report has not been submitted to our office. Please submit a digital copy of this report for our review &
records.
B. Roof Snow Load Requirements — Foundation plans from your Structural Engineer specify a 30 PSF snow load
used for foundation design, but Garfield County's requirements are 40 PSF. Please have your Engineer address
this issue by sending an email directly to our office.
C. Engineered Septic System — The Exemption plat for this property includes a requirement for an Engineered
septic system. Although we won't hold up issuance of permits over this item, a copy of the septic system design
will need to be available on the job site for Inspector review, and the Engineer's final report will be required
prior to final building inspection & Certificate of Occupancy.
Please have your Engineer respond to these items at his earliest opportunity so that we can issue permits.
Thank you —
Dave Argo
